Precision fine casting |

Already
more than 3000 years ago, people started to develop processes how to
produce fine beeswax models for gold and bronze jewelery in clay moulds
with the cire-perdue process. (casting of lost moulds).
The precision fine casting machines of the company Linn High Therm GmbH are as well part of this tradition.
Equipped with latest techniques, Linn High Therm GmbH can prove many
decades of experience in the field of producing fine casting machines
as well as burning out and preheating furnaces for ceramic moulds.
The machines from Linn High Therm GmbH of the construction line
“Platicast”, “Titancast” and “Titancast Super” work with the casting
process in the casting arm.
The metal is directly melted by induction in the casting arm under vacuum and/or protective gas.
By rotation of the casting arm, the centrifugal forces are pressing the
melt from the crucible in the ceramic casting mould. A high capacity
medium frequency converter makes short fusion times possible. The
integrated SPS-control supervises the transient behaviour as well as
the number of revolutions of the casting arm.
Precision casting components derive from stainless steels, titanium,
TiAl and superalloys as safe and dependable as parts derived from
bronze, Al, Mg etc.
Complicated fine casting components of highest precision can be casted
up to a precision or wall thickness respectively of 0,1mm with the
machines from Linn High Therm GmbH. Due to this, finest structures on
thin walled components are realizable. These precision casting
components are used for production of microsystems, in sensor
techniques, in optical components, in medicin and dental techniques, in
the jewellery casting, in the aerospace sector as well as in the
modelmaking branch and in the automotive industry.
